Welcome to our Q&A series behind the incredible talent from the Health and Wellbeing Autumn / Winter 2021 campaign.
Meet Jeet, a disability support worker. When he’s not helping and supporting others at work, he loves going for long drives to the country. An ideal day out would consist of taking long walks to unwind, enjoy the views and the company of his loved ones. In this Q&A series, we had a chat with him about his work to get to know him a little better.

What is your favourite part of your working day?
My favourite part of a working day is when I am able to support my clients to go out in the community which brings a smile on their face.

How do you practice self-care?
The majority of patients I work with are those who are suffering significant aches or pains. The most rewarding part of my role is to see them walk out without any pain.

What is an average day like as a disability worker?
An average day in my job involves, but is not limited to, supporting my clients in their activities of daily living, assisting them with their meals, administering medication (if any), having a conversation with them, and supporting them in accessing the community.

What is your go-to garment to wear on a shift?
I like to wear comfortable clothes at work which usually involves a t-shirt/shirt, jeans and shoes.

Thank you, Jeet, for being a part of our Health and Wellbeing campaign.
