Welcome to our Q&A series behind the incredible talent from the Health and Wellbeing Autumn / Winter 2021 campaign.
Meet Sinead, a healthcare worker who supports children and adults with autism. When she's not supporting her clients, you can find her in her yoga room, meditating and practicing some of her favourite Yoga sequences. She also enjoys reading and catching up with her friends for brunch. In this Q&A series, we had a chat with her about her work to get to know her a little better.

What is the most rewarding part of your role?
The most rewarding part of my role is seeing the immense growth in my clients. I support children and adults with Autism, and I love watching them learn new skills and teach me the amazing ways they see the world too! Through the years I have watched them become independent, move out of their home, and start to live a life some could have only imagined for them. It's been amazing!

Why did you choose a career in healthcare?
I have always been fascinated with people and how to help them grow and be the best version of themselves. I studied Psychology and became amazed by the brain and the ways it can adapt, in many instances, where some may think otherwise. Autism became such an interest of mine and I have been working in this role now for nearly 4 years and I enjoy every single day in my job!

What three words would you use to describe a typical working day?
My typical working day: Different, exciting, inspiring.

If you could design your own uniform, what would it look like?
If I could design my own uniform it would be breathable, easy to move around in (as my job is quite active) and I would love it to be in different styles or colours so that my staff and I can have our personalities shine through our uniforms!

Thank you, Sinead, for being a part of our Health and Wellbeing campaign.
