NNT Uniforms supporting healthcare workers with Smiling Mind

NNT Uniforms will donate 20 percent of all sales from its limited-edition scrubs range to Smiling Mind, a leading not-for-profit in the mental health sector. The funds raised will help Smiling Mind continue in its vital efforts to support good mental health in the healthcare profession, via its dedicated Healthcare Worker Program.

NNT Uniforms, a leading uniform provider to the healthcare sector, designed the range in response to the World Health Organisation’s nomination of 2020 as International Year of the Nurse and Midwife. The range pays tribute to their vital role in providing health services to communities around the world, and also celebrates the 200th anniversary of the birth of one of the most renowned nurses in history, Florence Nightingale.

As Australia’s leading uniform provider, NNT Uniforms understands that throughout the pandemic, frontline healthcare workers including nurses have been, and will continue to, work tirelessly to support the community. By teaming up with Smiling Mind, NNT will provide funds and support to the mental health and wellbeing of healthcare workers during this challenging time.

Smiling Mind, the not-for-profit behind Australia’s leading mindfulness app, launched the Healthcare Worker Program earlier this year for our healthcare heroes in direct response to the pandemic. The app-based program is designed to provide healthcare workers with free, easily accessible, practical tools and activities to support good mental health.

“As part of our responsibility to give back to the community, NNT Uniforms is proud to support Smiling Mind on sustainable mental health initiatives,” said Vanessa Marven, Head of Marketing & Customer Service at The Workwear Group.

“Due to the demanding nature of their work, nurses experience greater levels of workplace stress. Heightened by the pandemic, nurses need our support now more than ever. Teaming up with Smiling Mind on their program for frontline workers really resonated with our team and was a natural fit for NNT.”

Dr Addie Wootten, CEO of Smiling Mind, echoed the sentiment.

“We’re proud of the mental health support we’ve been able to deliver to the healthcare community through 2020 to date, but we’re acutely aware that the need for these services is still very real.

“Support from NNT Uniforms will help Smiling Mind to continue our mission of helping every mind thrive and support the healthcare professionals while they care for the broader Australian community. For that we are incredibly thankful.”
